"I committed today," Anderson said. "Troy has what I really want in a school. I like their field and everything. It just felt right. How they want me in their offense fits what I like to do.
Anderson, 5-foot-11 and 230 pounds, picked Troy over heavy interest from Middle Tennessee, Georgia Tech and Georgia. Anderson also plays linebacker, but figures to be a H-back at Troy.
"I'll pretty much be on offense," Anderson said. "I'm mainly being recruited as an offensive guy, but if they need me to play on defense, I can adjust. I'm a physical, straight-forward runner and explosive."
Anderson said it was a relief to get his commitment out of the way before his senior season.
"Troy said they had two slots open and they had offered three guys already," Anderson said. "Whoever the first to commit had those two slots. I didn't want to waste my time and worry about it. At the same time, I feel good about my decision."
Here are some highlight videos of Anderson.
